They often rent out additional space in summer from colleges and universities to accommodate the extra classrooms needed. In turn their teaching staff will double. If you’re looking for a TEFL Job in London the early part of the year is the best time to apply, in order to be considered for a summer position. You can find summer jobs teaching English not only in London, but in language schools all over the UK.
The pay for salaried teachers is in the range of £18,000-£25,000 per year. Temporary staff are paid by the hour. The hourly rates are anywhere between £10-£20 per hour, the better schools usually pay at least £15 per hour.
