Hello! and welcome to my phrasal verbs app.

By: Nadia Bentoua (EFL Teacher and Author of Learn How the Locals Speak)

learn englishThe idea for the app came to me about 6 months ago on the back of writing my first vocabulary book – Learn How The Locals speak. I am always looking for new and creative ways to help students learn English. The majority of people learning English are Generation Y and so I believe it is crucial for educators to move and change with the times – if not, both students and teachers may miss out on the overall benefits of EFL teaching and learning. Both my book and app are up-to-date with the amazing graphics and provide the change in learning that I feel the industry needs.

I have been teaching for over 7 years and the one thing I have found that students from all over the world get confused with most, is phrasal verbs! Regardless of their lingual background or English fluency, they all agree that phrasal verbs drive them crazy!

To help learners retain their sanity or in other words make learning English a tad easier and much more enjoyable, I have created an app that is fun, educational, relevant and incredibly useful. It is currently available for the iphone, ipad and itouch. For those wishing it was available for Android and Google apps,it will be in a month’s time 🙂

I am thrilled with the outcome and feel it was well worth the 6 months of planning and creating but I would love to hear your feedback on it. I am hoping that this is the start of more creations, so if you have suggestions for content/features that you’d like to see on a phone app, please do leave your comments below this post.

But before I sign off, here is a brief overview of the app itself to get you started.
